LVMS has not had a test and tune or a Bracket Race for about
5 months!
They decided to have their annual Wally race at the last bracket series
of the year.
My boy got to the Semi and had a .002 Red light after a couple rounds
of Double 00s

We were up early thrashing on cars that had not been out of the shop
for 5 months. I by the grace of God got to the finals and lost by a hundred.
It was around Midnight and my 75 year old body just ran out of gas,

But I am please and blessed to be having this good a year!
I had a serious accident at the track last November as some of you
might remember.

I am currently legally Blind in one eye and have Cataracts in the other eye.
I have lost all my depth perception and where I held a couple/ three and lived
in the last hundred ft. I must be able to predict my dial using the station and hold
only one. Even in the final = I was 5 thou off but behind about two on the tree.
The cars are put away and secured but now 1:30 Am. Up early again in the morning!

God is so good to me to allow me to still be able to follow my Dreams!

You are simply amazing guy. To still be that competitive in a class that is arguably about as hard as it gets is very cool. My reactions and simply the speed at which my mind processes input is making me very seriously contemplate changing my drag car back to a streetable version. The thought of hurting someone due to my physical deterioration is weighing heavily on me. I just don’t think I can bear the thought of selling it tho? By same token I am not racing it this year either, so it just sits. Well done Sir.

That's inspiring. It took a lifetime of work and blessings to get where you are. Pretty awesome.

Especially awesome after five months off! It's safe to say it's in your blood if you can jump back in after that kind of a break and yield those kinds of results...

Thank you guys so very much!!

I was going to make the Winternationals my
final race this year to say good bye. I thought that all my medical
issues were impossible to overcome. However, I did
well and got a nice picture and write up in April National
Dragster.

I am so very Blessed that our Lord has been so very kind to
allow me to continue my heart's desire despite some Challanges.

Truly Goodness and Mercy have indeed followed me all the days of
my Life. I plan to spend Eternity in the House of the Lord despite
all my many failings.

In the Sunday King of the Track races = I got to the Semi finals
after beating my buddy who won BOTH Sportsman and Pro
Track Championships at Vegas Both this year and last year in both classes.
He and his wife are former Divisional Champions in last few years and once
I believe National Champions as well. I lost all my wiring on the Valiant first
round ( I think I have rats in one of the small shops where I keep it ). I had to Hot
Wire it to get ignition to work/ leave to hood off to have access to junction box on fenderwell
and have my son line up behind and jump out to run the starter to start it! Made for a busy afternoon.
