Crazy thing happened yesterday in Toronto. A small Piper airplane took off from a small airport and had just had a total inspection. Took off and got to 2000 feet and the guy switched tanks to keep it balanced. The motor started to fail and the guy had to land as he wouldn't make it back to the airport. So he landed it on the 407 Toll Highway and did a fabulous job said the Cop a pilot himself.
Good job it was the Toll Road because it wasn't busy.
They called in a float and loaded the plane on the float sideways and had a police escort of course. Something you don't see everyday. I'm sure the mechanic that passed the plane's inspection will be asked a few questions lol

Don't know how a mechanic could of found the valve from one tank to the other being bad if in fact that was the problem.

Another great day. Nice and sunny but a bit cool with the wind blowing. Was going to exercise the fish buy my buddy dropped over and we sat on the deck. After he left I cut the grass.

Gutting out the Bug tonight and hope to have the body off the pan by Sunday.
If I can figure out the wiring before I unplug everything. lol

Looking more into dropping the front and back and extending the fenders to handle bigger tires. Not sure yet what I will do but I need another build to keep me going at my age.

Morning guys and Happy Friday sort of. I got an email from FOG last night. His beautiful dog Freida was running around the house. She slipped and went head first into china cabinet breaking her neck. The vet said she died instantly. Poor Mike is devastated as you can imagine.

Morning Mark Yea it's an old John Deer I picked up for free and put a cheap China engine on it. That was 6 years ago and works great so far.
