In my time, never worried about a job. Took time off when I wanted or needed to. Got fired / quit the same outfit more than once. No one wanted to be a bricklayer, the work was there. Not many tradesmen to do it. Get fired Friday morning call the union back at work Monday morning sometimes for the same outfit. But for me that’s a use to be, not piling rock for the union no more. Take small gravy jobs for whiskey money. Still enjoy it just don’t want to do it full time or even part time. I’ll do it my time

dealing with something right now with one of the owners sales assistant. Long story but, told the owner that i was in this industry while she was still an infant. no exageration there. F**k off with her and her power tripping attitude, is what i told the owner. he told me he would talk to her. It helps that i used to work for his dad ( rip) when he was 20 years old as well. I hate trippin out like that, cant stand people that disrespect the older generation

Got home from work yesterday and my wife told me about yet another incident of some a-hole blocking our driveway while making a delivery to the neighbor's house. This has been a long standing issue with one particular delivery carrier, but this time it was FedEx. She was outside in the backyard when she saw a box truck pull up and park across our double driveway, and a male and female got out. She asked them if they were delivering to our house, the female said yes, but the male came around the truck and said no, they were delivering to the neighbor. My wife then politely asked them to move the truck ahead 30 feet so they were not blocking the driveway. The female told her to 'calm down' and they would only be a minute.
When in recorded history has anyone EVER calmed down in a situation like this?
Wife was livid and told them to either move or she would call FedEx to complain, they ignored her and continued with the delivery. She was still pissed when I got home at 5 pm.
Complete lack of respect for anyone other than themselves.

Last fall I had a similar experience with a different company and the driver, Cleary a recent immigrant, decided to call me a racist because I asked him to move his van and not block my driveway. I videotaped that idiot.

yup...common courtesy is gone now. driving digger ( my jeep) with my daughter in a walmart parking lot. a woman in her benz, was right in the way talking to her friend, in front of a no standing zone sign by the way, told me to mind my own business and go around. turned off the engine and proceeded to block the entire two lane driving area. People were coming up to me and yelling for me to move and a few just said, look...just move on past, its not worth it. One lady called me a racist and yelled out " oh boy, he has canadian flags on his jeep!
That lady who was blocking the way, had the gull to tell me to move...i took a pic and said,,"lady you are blocking a no standing zone area. do what you will..im calling the cops. you'll get fined. I not goin anywhere. I dont tweek very often, but self entitlement just trigger me. She litterly said..Your a good role model for your daughter. Yeah.. a good role model indeed. i taught her to stand your ground when you are in the right!

we can thank trudum for instilling that " racist card for the woke community" for that one

Every time I go grocery shopping someone has to block the whole isle way with their cart and just stand there reading the label on something and could care less if you're trying to get around them. Pisses me off that people can't be considerate and pull there cart off to the side so others can get by.
Think that's the main reason I hate shopping.

That is one thing that drives me bat **** crazy at Costco, people just block the damn aisles with their carts like they are the only ones in the store. Every Costco that I have been to is usually extremely busy, unless you go at 5:30 on Friday night, at least ours is not busy at that time.

Not a lot of people around here but inconsiderate people we have a lot of.
I think when God made people he made more assholes than considerate people. :BangHead:

Good morning guys and may your weekend be a good one.
Been worried about Mark I haven't seen him here in a while.

Just took the bandages off and took a shower without a baggie on that hand. Felt great to wash that hand! 10 stitches, both in the finger as well as the hand. Anyway, finger is pretty stiff, and my discharge paperwork says my goal is to be able to make a fist by my follow up appointment on the 14th. Been through this before, otherwise I’d say I don’t have a snowballs chance of being able to do that….

Thanks for asking, Fred!

It will be nice when it heals up, sure sucks getting old.

…..sure sucks getting old.
Agreed. But as the saying goes, it sure beats the alternative!

I have to have full use of this hand before May (something), as my wife is having surgery on her foot at that time, and she’ll be off her feet for 2-3 months.

And “someone” has to walk the dogs, do the laundry, get the groceries, make dinner…..

Wow that's a long time being off her feet. Hope the best for you both.

Blocking the isle way is an easy one, I just walk around my cart and push the invasive cart out of the way, or use your cart to clear isle, you get some dirty looks which I meet with a low growl. Another is two old fart’s women or men standing in the doorway having a conversation, don’t put up with that ****, I just bark until they move. Ignorant people should have a sign that way you’d how to treat them. We have smoking laws can’t smoke in public buildings, was in a parkade and lite up a smoke, women just bitched me out for smoking then fired up her way out of tune old Mercedes and filled the palace with diesel smoke. Ok I’ll get off my Apple box make it a good one guys.
