View attachment 1715254776 One side of the cab all painted and put back together everything else is just about ready for paint. I am only doing body work and prep on this job. My friend is doing all the painting.
Painting everything but the roof and tail gate. The truck was in the mountains in Montana and the owner of it slid down a hill on a gravel road and bounced it off a few trees. over $6,000 in repairs. lolLooks good Fred! Is this an overall paint job?
If not, the rest of tye truck must be in pretty good shape to just buff it up!

Being a body man any more is not a good trade to be in Jeff. The guy was not easy on his truck. it had rock chips in the paint and small dents every ware that were not part of what the insurance company paid to have fixed. Ins. paid to paint the truck because it was scratched down both sides of the truck but not real bad. But if we didn't fix all the other stuff we would have a customer that would be mad and not come back again. People are dishonest and want something more than they pay for and the insurance companies are real bad at paying for anything.I am surprised 6k is all!
I feel your pain Fred. Gotta take the good with the bad. Really tired of dust myself. 2 phrases of wisdom I try to live by. One from a teacher (yes I went to school to learn how to do this stuff) and one from my Father.Being a body man any more is not a good trade to be in Jeff. Painting an old car is a lot different than a newer car. stripping paint off is time consuming and little rust spots and old bondo sucks and not to mention the dust.
I like them both but I think your dad was the best teacher.I feel your pain Fred. Gotta take the good with the bad. Really tired of dust myself. 2 phrases of wisdom I try to live by. One from a teacher (yes I went to school to learn how to do this stuff) and one from my Father.
1 Never do anything for free. They will expect it every time after that. ( teacher)
2 If I'm gonna go broke, I'm gonna do it sitting on my ***. (Dad)
May I please use both of those !I feel your pain Fred. Gotta take the good with the bad. Really tired of dust myself. 2 phrases of wisdom I try to live by. One from a teacher (yes I went to school to learn how to do this stuff) and one from my Father.

Cutting it down and grinding out the stump as well. The weather is co-operating as well. I may be sore tomorrow but my wallet will be losing weight. Have a good one.
