I was the Crew Chief and maintenance supervisor in my later days. I have about 50 hours driving and 2000 or so hours crewing em!

That's a CH-53 Super Stallion (E model) and a CH-46 Sea Knight. The Marine Corps does not have Chinooks (CH-47s). Thd 46 is much smaller.

Yessir that was my job for almost 20 years. Fixed em, and crewed em.
That last image is what's called a pinnacle landing where the zone is too small to land on and you set the rear wheels on the ground while the nose is airborn. You let the troops exit in less than 15 seconds. We do the same thing on buildings so they can clear the building from the top down.
Much safer for the troops that way! They expect you from the bottom!

Yea Sh-t sure would have been nice to help All the guys that died for there country. Mostly the ones that died without anyone holding there hand.
