Darn it I’m fourth but it’s ok everyone gets a ribbon these day right... I could use some Crome muffler bearings though .

Just checking in. Stupid cold here but clear as a bell and the wind finally let up. Had to weld the auger on my snowblower the other day. Lucky I caught that. It was rubbing too. I was just looking it over as the poor thing sure does work hard. Gotta get that Bultaco tank done. I've been spending too much time on that silly Impala. You guys stay warm.

I'm making lunch and gonna make my famous canned chili and and hot dogs cause the boys are heading home right after lunch so I'm in the clear. lol

Yes as in motorcycle. I think we talked about it a while ago. We decided to look for a better tank and the owner did find one on ebay. He's called me a couple times so I need to get clicking on that.
Did your boys get that engine out? Manual trans? I remember something wierd about how they couple the trans and engines on those Subaru's. Some funky clip on the torque converter.

Yes it's out BP manual tranny but took a bit to figure that the throw out bearing and pressure plate is all one unit and had to take the throw out bearing arm out to get it apart.

Welcome home Mark we missed you.
Yeah we got home about 2:30 this afternoon. Good drive home and took the major hwys all the way home through Toronto. I was cruising along though Toronto and IO said to my wife...how fast do you think we're going? She replied 115km I said nope 133. I was just slowly passing traffic and just like a train. That 300 just floats on the hwy and had some good music playing made it all that much nicer. Glad to be home but had a lovely time with our son and his family. I helped him replace a water softener and unplug a stubborn toilet.

For a while, here in the states the hot ticket was to buy your toilet in Canada cause they changed U.S. to low water usage toilets and the Canadians had the regular flow. Brilliant gooberment move so now we have to flush twice and end up using more water. Welcome home Mark

So I'm not the only one with bad water. Sure miss the west coast water was real good.

Glad you had a good time Mark. I had a old hockey buddy swing thru from Seattle. He and I have known each other for decades and typically only get together once a year in Tacoma Wa where we play in an old farts hockey game which is called a legacy game and we get honored with pix, attention and pizza for being a bunch of has been hockey players! Hah!
Wife was gracious enough to be our driver for what can only be described as an epic microbrew crawl. Took us all day! I was holding my own right up till I got into some 10.7 Bourbon barrel aged imperial stout. Down hill from there. We took a break for lunch and decided to go for some fine dining at Popeyes chicken drive thru, don't ask. Then finished at my favorite local Irish buddies hole in the wall Irish microbrew. I am a bit dehydrated and so hungry even Freds legendary chili sounds good!
