A funny story. A friend of mine had a rot bucket Gremlin his dad bought him to drive to school. One day he stopped at the local gas station and when his friend opened the passenger door it fell off the car. They strapped it to the roof to go home. His dad stick welded it back on with barn hinges to the front fender.
 If it worked what the hell. Sounds like something my dad would have done.

My cousin bought a I think it was called an economy rail. it had everything on it minus engine and tranny and the only way to get it home was strap it to the roof of his old Dart.
Looked pretty cool up there.

You lose Fred! I just got done dealing with the across the street neighbor. The second time her drunk *** fell down in the garage, I had to pull her out of the lawnmower, through the handles. Nice lady, but damn... I go hit the couch when I can't walk halfway straight anymore. :)

She's lucky she has someone to pick her up and put her in her house before she gets rained on or pissed on by a dog.
Can't handle that I go to bed before I get that bad.

Morning guys. I went down to the front gates of the Autofest yesterday morning and spent 2 hours there watching cars come in and out. I also went in as an old friend pulled in. Took some pictures of the car. The one I took especially for you SLO. The Sublime Green GTX. The red 39 Chev was in the same garage as mine when we pulled the motor out and painted it. I love my friend's 37 Plymouth with the slant. It's somewhere around 300 HP and has a Gear Vendors overdrive. Nice ride.

Wow nice rides and expensive builds.
Morning Mark looks like it was a nice day at the show.
Morning Fred. The weather was perfect being around 23-25 degrees and no humidity all weekend. It's always a great show and the weather always seems to co-operate. After 25 shows they've only had 2 weekends that it rained but the show went on regardless. All the profits go to a children's home in town. Originally it was a one day show but they had so much response they went to the two day show then later they had the free Friday night show downtown. My buddy will be sending me the pictures he took downtown and I'll post them on here.

Looks like enough shade trees to sit under and that is always nice instead of coming home sun burnt.
That's the kinda shows to have so the money goes to a good cause.

The original spot was the G.M. head office here in town but eventually it became too small for the venue and there wasn't any shade period but the park at the lake is perfect.

Wow I would of thought the GM head office would have lots of room but would rather be by the lake and have the trees. We haven't been to the lake at all this summer and that new paddle boat is just sitting waiting for the kids to use.

You had me at Sublime on the car show pix!
Fred, summer is just about over, if you are going to use the fancy paddle boat you better get jiggly with it. Everyone is cleaning and prepping ice houses already here.
NO NO winter is not coming this year I refuse to have snow in my yard.
I really hope we don't have an early long winter but is looking like it.

The G.M. Center is at the lake also but without shade it was a sweat box. The site used to work well as far as cars coming in but it's grown in leaps and bounds. Somewhere around 1400-1500 cars now.

That would take some time to walk through, I always have to look down the sides of cars to see how straight they are and look for flaws in the paint. To picky for my own good and mine is far from being flawless.

Good morning men was that a drag race about eight hours away from where I live it was kind of cool ,it was at the airport in Cache Creek B.C. and it was the only second race they’ve held had a couple quick cars I’ve got to work tech , it’s amazing how much the land changes from the coast to inland , all mopar final both abody cars , very small but it has the potential to get huge, met some really nice people very accommodating, worked with Pete 75 years old great guy drove a 34 chev with a big block stick car ! I mean he drives it everywhere 20,000 km a year , and all the volunteers can’t say enough good things was a great weekend ! I didn’t get many pics was to busy bullshiting
