SOOO took my son to do his drivers test today and the town was all tore up for road construction in a real bad way every block and the main road through town was a mess. I let him drive around for an hour before the test to get use to the construction routing and I was on pins and needles the whole way.
Now you got to remember we live in a way out town the closest red light is 50 miles away so the kid is not use to traffic or construction. My fault he failed his test for not taking him to a bigger town to drive but I gotta tell you after 7 kids before him teaching them to drive and near misses and yelling STOP or SLOW DOWN I am a little bit nervous as the last one is about to leave the nest. I am making a drink and gonna make it a double and after that gonna make another double and maybe another till I stop shaking and get my fingers loose from the dash of my car. lol

Bring him out here, we have plenty of road destruction going on....

Just sold my 340 engine to a guy in Manitoba Canada gonna miss the old engine and hope he gets it on the road again.
Busy day here and they say being retired is boring? no just to busy to go to work.

WAKE UP GUYS ....come on ,hey hey hey , damit I’m last still

That's too bad he didn't get his license. That means you have to go through this process again. Better go and buy some more booze.

Morning guys..FIRST!!!!
Great car show last night...great turnout for cars and apparently mosquitoes as well. Those little buggers suck.
Morning Mark bugs are bad right now I had my garage door open to load the 340 in the guys truck last night and my garage is full of bugs.

Hey congrats on selling your motor Fred.
Morning FOG I will miss the 340 but I need the money to buy parts.
Going to get all the weather strips and front and back glass gaskets here soon as I find a good price. What's going on with you did you ever get a chance to work on your old truck yet?

Get some frogs, snakes, and spiders in there to eat them....

Morning krazykuda anything happening in your day?

I should cut the neighbor's grass, but it's rained here so much since Saturday I'm not sure if it will be dry enough to cut...

Need to see if I have a bolt for the trans shift linkage that goes into the frame for the bracket on the left side.... The last person to work on the RoadRunner sure was a hack and did a **** job... They left the bolt out for the shift linkage bar.... Then only put one of the original the trans mount bolts in and the three other bolts that they put in there are too long and two of them have nuts on them which don't even get to the frame before bottoming on the threads of the bolts, and the of the long bolts doesn't even have a nut on it, just the bolt... WTF???? :wtf:

This is why I like to do my own work... Some people just have no business working on cars...

I may start another section for my how to rebuild a small block series in the How to section... I finished up one yesterday that I started this weekend... So far I am up to installing the rings on the pistons, now I have to write the next one to install the pistons in the block....
