The local news just said there is 7000 people without power in my area. That's about 10% I'd say.

Doesn't bother me loosing power I'm always in the dark anyway. lol
The wind has really let up. Storm is over. When it comes from the southwest like that I hardly feel it. North east is a whole other story. Last year, Superbowl Sunday was Feb. 3. Woke up to the sound of a 100 foot Ponderosa landing on my house.

I remember and must have been a nasty sound.
Are worst storms come from the East.

That southern wind can be bad too especially at that end of the valley. I'm sure thats where all of the trees ore downed. I have about a six acre parcel of trees on a hill on the south west side of me. On the northside and east is the mouth of two mountain canyons that look me right in the face.

Mountain living has it's down falls and as nice as that valley you live in is you can get some nasty weather.

Our **** weather comes from the south , right off the pacific , hwy #1 between Victiora and Nanaimo shut down for flooding , nobody in or out , were talking the capatiol city of B.C. kinda a big deal .

Just my 2 cents Ron but looks like the old girl has been sitting in a water hole for the last 20 years. I would check the rest of the car and see how sound it is, around the back window look at the rear 1/4 panels for big rust. Not sure what frame rails are the same but I would defiantly hack off the front and replace it but just what I would do.
The rest of the car is pretty solid. Pics from '09 when I got it. I think the rail rot is from critters.. pulled a ton of mouse nests out of the rails, and boy did it stink. Car has been in my garage since '09, and was sitting in another garage for 10 years before that.

You can keep your rain Biff I would rather have the cold and dry weather but hope the flooding there stops soon.

Nice ride for sure and well worth restoring but if you can find some frame rails for the front that fit and weld them in would be great.

Going to be 40+ here tomorrow. I might be the guy out in shorts, lol.
We're watching our 3 month old nephew tonight. He finally passed out a few minutes ago, so I gotta be quiet.. don't wanna wake that little scrub up again as he's got a voice! :)
