Yeah, same here. They're talking -12* tonight, and by Monday...a high of -9*.

I'm starting to think we made a mistake when we decided to stay in this region when we retire...

Stay warm!
I was thinking the same thought. Why am I here and not in a warmer climate.

I know of a few people that moved to Mo from ND. They have a little bit of a hard time adjusting to our climate. They tend to overprepare for snow in the forecast, and are in shock with the amounts we actually get.

My son moved from here to Hartville, MO. Maybe it's him. Also His mother and father-in-law moved there but not sure what town they moved to.

Same blizzard here, drove wife to work this morning went wrong way two miles are open to the north near white out, came home the longer but more sheltered route. Still snowing, supposed to get worse as the day goes on. Welcome to Winterpeg Manisnowba. Looking on the bright side, only about 10 weeks of winter left.

Just starting to see some sunshine here. Not sure how much snow we got so far.

Here we have gone from 48* Wednesday and Thursday to about 16*, plus we had some local snow overnight. I was intending to go 100 miles east this morning, as I have been for the last few months, but about 30 miles down the road the highway had become a sheet of ice. I continued for about 5 miles, but it becomes a 2 lane road at that point conditions weren't improving so I turned around and headed back to the home terminal. I trust myself on the road, but not other drivers. Considering that in that 5 mile stretch there were 6 vehicles in the ditches, and signs of several others having been removed already it was an easy decision. Only the second time I have had to do that in 36 years as a commercial driver, but I won't risk my safety for freight. My boss informed the senior management and their response was completely supportive.

Yup no danger pay as a driver

Hi guys.
The guy picked up my snowblower and said probably back in 2-3 days.
Going to be back in the freezer starting Sunday looks like.
Went to my local parts store and got a new battery for the 300.
I had emptied the trunk so they could see what battery I needed.
They had asked if it was the standard one or an AGM type.
The guy came out to look at it and he said it may be a standard one but cars with lots of options need the AGM type.
They are about 60% more money but I thought we don't have any plans to get rid of the car so bought the high end one.
They list out for 397 bucks but I got my usually discount and saved 55 bucks.
I called my neighbour on the way home to help put the battery in and was waiting in the driveway.
I've said before he's a great neighbour. He got home from work last night and then shoveled my driveway and then changed my battery but still wouldn't take any money.
Glad the remote start is back working etc.

Looks like we are going to get a little colder here. Winters in this valley are pretty mild temperature wise. The largest fresh water body lake west of the Mississippi and other lakes and rivers help moderate the temps though we do have our moments. Usually lots of snow and not very many sunny days. Imports get depressed easily. I've lived her for 62 years. The only thing that depresses me are the imports. Ha... not all of them.

Your town has grown a lot in the last few years with imports. I'm the newest import in my town but been here for 8 years.
