so...........the battery on my wife's fob crapped out on her yesterday NIGHT..what a load of bs that was. The fob battery dies so the car wont start. REALLY? I hate the newer cars.....way to much to go wrong with them. I remember asking my dad when i was 15, why he didn't buy his 1977 chev malibu classic with power windows? his answer...another thing that can go wrong. I thought he was just being cheap :mad:He was soooooo right
The dealer told me next time to put the base of the fob on the start button and push. It works.
On our doors (Chrysler 300) there is a cap over the key hole. Just take the cover off and use your emergency key to get in.

Hey guys. It's warmed up some.
When I was on FABO I was also on the computer I had my headphones on so not to wake my wife and I heard them say about rain.
I mistook it for here. One can only hope.
We have had very light snow all day and hasn't amounted to much.
Out tonight for a meeting at City Hall.

i got in fine with the key but the car would not recognize the fob ....would not start. asked my wife if it says anything other than ' does not recognize fob" and she said, 'there is a little key that has a thing with bars on it" 2 and 2 equals 5 and had to go to a convienve store cause it was about 11:30 pm to get a battery. damn it was cold that night

That’s the little book that used to come with things you bought. Now you have to go online, spend 1/2 hour looking for this thing another 15 min. Looking around in this website trying to get the right page. Get pissed off close out everything and phone the Dealership.
or........ u-tube sometimes good, sometimes ****

When I was at the GM training centre for Service Writer the instructor said the manual was the most unread book and it's true.
Getting milder out there but probably not for long.
The days are sure getting longer now. Getting dark close to 5:30 now
Have a great weekend

When I was doing factory training for McQuay, and later Daikin, I used to use the term "RTFM" once the class got used to me (after a couple days, or so). Inevitably someone in the class would get a confused look on their face when I'd say that, so I'd look at them and say, "And if you don't know what that is, ask the guy sitting next to you."

wouldn't it be funny, if manufacturers starting making the manual's just one page thick and on that page..it reads, " you actually took the time to open this manual? in that case..(then include the u tube link directly under the snarky comment

Unfortunately most manuals are now so full of legal disclaimers that they are cumbersome and useless.

IDK why, with all of the computer power these cars have, why the owners manual cant be available right on that fancy screen on the dash. I could be VIN specific. Otherwise, buy AAA is my advise for car owners of newer cars.
