Morning guys.
Will be a little cooler today but not by much.
As you know I had a hearing test a little while ago and ordered new hearing aids.
Since that I've had an irritation in my one ear.
Went to my DR yesterday thinking I had an ear infection.
He looked in the ear and said "Holy crap what is that"?
Turns out it was the rubber disc from a hearing aid from when they were performing a fitting.
He tried his best to get it out but to no avail so today I go to an ENT to get it removed, I hope haha.
No car show tonight (normal) and no shows the next couple of days either because of much needed rain and a funeral on Friday.
At least it will be cooler for a few days and can turn off the a/c and open the windows.
Have a great day and keep cool if you can after seeing this

by the looks of it mark   , yer eyes are still working fine!

Hey guys.
Well it has cooled a little bit but still a scorcher out there.
Met some FB friends for coffee and then went to the ENT guy.
I was called in exactly at my appointment time and not kidding when I say I wasn't in the chair anymore then 2 minutes and I was out the door. He said no signs of infection or any other thing so went back to the group and had lunch.
Have a good one guys and keep cool

Myself as well, cut a piece of plywood for top for snow. This is the correct procedure?
For a vertical discharge unit, yes. They are built for the weather, and they don’t need those wrap around blankets or “covers” on them. All that does is invite the critters inside, and given that one leg of power is usually (sometimes?) left “hot” to act as a heater for the compressor (keeps the windings warm), the mice cozy right up to them! And chew the wires….

Best advice is to cover them up with plywood or some sort of hard plastic, both sized accordingly, and held down with a rock or a brick, to keep any icicles that may drop down from damaging them.

Me, I trip the circuit breaker as well to keep that damn heater shut off.

Or I should say I used to, as I just finished installing an air-air heatpump (horizontal discharge) that I’ll need to leave powered-up 24/7 if I want to get any heat out of it this winter.

You would think that they inventory that stuff. Kind of like sponges in an operating room. Glad you made it.

I always shut the power off to the compressor and turn it back on in the spring to let it defrost. Our unit has to be at least 25 yrs old and works great. Maybe I better shut up haha

Morning guys.
The hot spell finally broke so I opened the windows this morning. It is also raining which we need badly. Saying we may get 3/4" of rain today.
Today and Friday will be cooler but back into the heat next week.
Just looked out side and has stopped raining now but will start again later.
Have a great day

One could only wish. Carrying a fire extinguisher with me now incase I fart. 2” rain here since the snow left. It all came as 3/10’s, 2/10’s etc. the most we got at one time was 7/10’s. Back woods travel still banned. Watering garden constantly it’s growing but not the same as warm rain water. And I would bet that when harvest time around comes it’s not going to stop raining. K enough bitchin, make it a good one guys

I took my car to get the new rear end because it had stopped raining and the roads were dry.
Lets hope the new set isn't noisy this time.
I asked the guy if USA gear will compensate for the labour and he said I have to eat it.
I feel bad he has to do it for free because the gears were defective.
He said that maybe happens 3 times a year.
I think I'd be getting a new supplier.
I should be able to pick it up tomorrow morning unless it rains.
He said if it is then I'll come in and open the shop for you on Saturday.
So no car show tonight and tomorrow is definitely cancelled at one spot but could rain anyway.
Later
