Good morning, Great day here I'm heading to see my jailbird son. He is only 50 miles away from my house now on work release.
Looks like I'll be able to bring him home for about 12 hours a day.
Some of the kids are coming over this weekend and having steak dinner with all the trimmings for him.
That's good news, I hope you have a great time visiting with him.

Oh what great news that is. Safe journey my friend.
Maybe they'll let him come home for xmas

We've been having problems with our cable tv lately.
So yesterday I called the company, so they sent a guy out just after lunch today. He did some maintenance at the box outside and replaced the Modem with a bigger and better one.
So far so good but time will tell you.
Didn't get the grass seed project done because the guy was here. Oh well there is always tomorrow.
Have a great evening

Let me guess the cable guy’s name was Larry

Been a warm and cloudy wet day here. Running out of room on my Lab walls for deer racks. Up to 51 this year. Cleaning out another area on west wall. Once that small area is filled the only other place is the ceiling. Think that would be cool. On of my friends works as ice maker arena custodian he sheeted the whole ceiling in his shop with broken hockey sticks. He points out the real expensive ones lol

Was 70* here today, 71* in Minne-a-no-place….

Those are just crazy numbers! :realcrazy:
Was 70* here yesterday afternoon, sunny but a bit windy with gusts up to about 50 mph.
24 hours later.............

Cooled down to about 35 overnight, had some heavy rain, and this morning, this started as I left for work. Was around 30* most of the day, but tomorrow is forecast for another high 50s day.

Yuck! Then again, I guess it is that time of year.

Drive carefully!

As you all may know, I have been looking for another vehicle for my wife for a while now. Finally found a really clean 2009 Ford Escape last weekend. I was originally thinking of buying another Expedition, looked at more than a few of them before she said she would be happier with something smaller. This one has been garage kept all it's life, originally bought in the B.C. interior where winter is not much more than a week or two in duration.
I bought it from the second owner, he had bought it for his son, who has now decided on a Jeep. It has just over 120k miles, and NO RUST anywhere. I was underneath it at all 4 sides, clean! It needs a new windshield and I have already replaced front pads and rotors, stabilizer links, and changed the oil.

It has nearly new winter tires on it and these are the original wheels.

Myself, I dodged a bullet this morning. Guy has a (quote) ‘67 pickup for sale near me, so I went to see it this morning. He told me online it would be a good candidate for restoration (not a chance in hell!), and turns out it’s a ‘68, which is obvious if you know what you’re looking at.

So we started talking about that…..

The guy tells me the Title says it’s a ‘67, so that’s what it MUST be. Then he shows me the door tag, but it’s SCREWED onto the door, NOT riveted! So I start explaining how that isn’t OEM, and is incorrect…..

Then we started arguing….

Ultimately the guy wouldn’t let me check the VIN number on the frame (to check against the Title), and when I told him that absolutely NO ONE is going to buy, let alone restore it if the Title doesn’t match the VIN on the frame, he got all pissed-off and told me I was full of ****.

You can’t fix stupidity, but I feel bad knowing that someone is going to buy that mislabeled legal headache of a truck.

Buyer beware, I guess.

Yeah, fortunately you know where to look and what to look for, not everyone would, then of course the seller is an asshole.

Exactly!

He himself bought a “Bill of Goods” (he’s only had it for a little over a year), and based on how he reacted this morning I think he knows that, but he’s gonna scam someone when he sells it, sure as hell.

Good eye there Jim. I can't scam people and wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I did.

I went to a black tie event this evening. It was a 60 year birthday roast. My goodness, it made Dean Martins look like a Muppet show. I have not laughed that hard in forever. My head count was a 100 folks. Free booze and food. Great time. The wife was the sober chauffer. My turn to be sober next time.

Laughter is the best medicine. Glad you had a great time. Everyone needs a good laugh during these hard times
