ive now had two different shops (one beind Doug D) and me work on my engine to solve a rear main leak. crank was replaced and engine rebuilt during this time. cant get the rear main/pain to sop leaking
Pan is true and flat , crank is round and not pitted.
Is there a difference between an early ~64 main seal retainer meant for a rope seal and a later seal retainer? I want to use the rubber seal and Im willing to spend $80 on the "one piece" seal that they used in the rebuilding the slant six story in mopar mag.

Is there a billet retainer that works with slants ?
JUST WANT IT TO STOP LEAKING . ill cover it in black right stuff if i have to
