I have been out shopping for parts and I came accross a couple of engines.

The first is a 94 318 and the second is a 96 360. I don't believe that either is anything special. Just run of the mill engines.

Can anyone tell me what casting numbers the heads are likely, and what if any performance value they may possess?

Pros-Cons etc.

Thanks as always, ROB

Should both have magnum heads on them. They are pretty good heads, common swap on LA motors. The lifters/pushrods, valve covers, and rocker setup is all needed to swap a LA motor to a magnum. They flow pretty well and are worth something to someone looking to swap. A different intake is also required unless the head gets drilled to accept a LA intake.

So I guess the question that is this, is a magnum head a magnum head? I know there are the RT ones, but what about the differences between 318 and 360 heads?

Thanks, ROB
