On the non greaseable LCA bushings, (stock), can some chassis grease be applied to the inner shell before the pin is pressed in?

When the arm travels up and down, the pin in the inner bushing is the only area that acutually pivots, right?

Mine were so tight coming out, it seems like the rubber between the inner and out shell took all the travel, especially if the pin is seized to the inner shell.

If I do grease it before I press the pin in, most of the grease will likely squeeze out.

It worked for 45 years, but I not impressed with the factory design.

Thoughts?

No grease should be put there. The rubber should take all the pivot. If you look at it you'll see if does not move much when the suspension goes up and down.

Your right, Bill.

I was thinking of the Firm Feel units that take grease....but they apply only to the poly or nylon type bushing.

These are stockers.

Thanks

Stocker NO grease. The movement is the molded rubber twisting.

Polys YES to grease. The movement is the poly busing becoming a floating bearing.
