Le Mans style gas cap

I have a "le mans" style gas cap laying around from an old project.....I have a 74' Scamp......anyone seen one used on a Dart or A body? Dont want to cut now and regret later.

I planning to use a Lemans style cap. I'll be relocating it to the top of the quarter panel and filling the side. I haven't seen one on a Dart before.

If you are thinking about putting it on in place of the traditional cap, personally, I think you shouldn't. I think they are to big for the side but if you relocate it, I think it will work.

Yeah i used one on a car i built last winter it's not a Mopar though.

the one I have is just like that on the Cobra. It fits the Cobra, but I think it might be too bulky on my scamp,,,,,,,,,,,the flip top gas caps in the above link from mopardrt are more fitting I think.

I think you are right that it would be too bulky on a scamp or dart unless it's mounted on top similar to the Cobra. That's my plan.

Unfortunately it will be a year or so before I get to body mods. I have to get mine back to a roller first. Maybe this will inspire you though. Granted it's not a LeMans cap but you get the idea.
