leaf springs?

Finally swapping out my 7 1/4 to a 8 3/4 today. It is a 67 dart that had a 273 in it. Swapped it over to a 340. Question is...can I use my stock shock plates and rear leaf springs? Or do they need to be swapped? I have read that some have modified the plates?( drill to offset the holes or new ones?) . Not real sure but I have to ask. Thanks

I have drilled them in the past but as you have to change the U bolts anyway your better off to get the proper shock plates.One from an 8 1/4 will also work
