70 Duster - Slant 6
Hello.
I discovered the cause of my oil leak. There is a plate on the bottom of my oil pump on my slant 6 that leaks when the engine runs. It has 5 bolts, 7/16 inch heads on the bolts and looks like a cover of some type with likely a gasket of some type in there to keep the oil in. It is a pentagon shape and maybe an inch above the crossmember, not the easiest access area!!
Does anyone know if this gasket is available andchangeable with the engine in the car or do I need a whole new oil pump? The oil pump seems to work fine otherwise.
