Hey guys
Have another one for you.
74 Dart steering box is leaking down the output shaft...
not leaking from the hoses or any other place.
So is it possible to replace the seals on the shaft without removing
the gear from the car?
I"ve never had a problem with the steering, just this leak
Do you think its an OK idea to just replace the seals or get a new rebuilt unit

I am thinking that you could pull the pitman arm and yank the seal out with a 90 degree angle pick. Then tap a new one in there with a socket. Try doing it with the steering box in, if it is impossible, you already have it halfway out, pull it and finish it on the bench.
