I keep burning through the Gaskets with my spitfires, along the bottom of the drivers side of the engine, I assume the holes are not lining up properly?

Does anyone forsee any issues with me "elongating" the bolt holes a bit, so i can lower the header a bit, to hopefully allign the passages?

I am running Blue Felpro gaskets, that are marked for small block headers.

My headers also leaked in the same location as yours and like Dave said Remflex sealed this area up for me too. However, this weekend I noticed that the passenger side the gasket was pushed out next to the front stud (near alternator) and I had to replace it (they are made from soft material). The muffler shop that installed my pipes said that it’s common to have difficulty sealing the lower portion of the exhaust port due to center line fastening design. I try to keep that in mind while installing the headers. I would defiantly not elongate the holes in the flange.
