Ive got a mildly built 440 that is going in the swinger, I am so new to this, trying to find the right oil pan for this swap and headers, any help would be great

Before I make any reccomendations, what is your intended usage and budget?

Intended use is street 75% Strip 25% and the balnce of the projected budget after the Dana 60 and the motor is 2,500 for the ign system, carb, headers and misc.

Whats your skill level. Can you rebuilt a carb? A tq makes for a really good daily driver and is cheap, but I think your budget will allow something nice like a BG road demon. Some sort of multispark ign is the ticket here( MSD,Mallory,Summit, take your pick),it will up the gas mileage and ensure clean burns/easy starts.

Headers you could probably use the Shumacker bb headers. They fit very well. Probably the best fitting bb header for an A but only a street header as they are small tube. But you DID say mild 440 so these are probably the best. As far as gaskets use remflex and nothing else. They are made form the same material exhaust donuts oare made from and are about 1/4 thick. Can make up for leaks in even warped used headers! A cheap weld on ball and socket collector kit will make life soooo much easier too. It allows for some adjustmnt and play with the connection which is good,as since when does and exhaust pipe ever fit right? Typical pipes can be out quite a lot.

Stock oil pans like the 187 or 699 stamped pans have a notch for the steering and can be modded with a baffle and an additional 2" of sump welded on.

There are more expensive options.
