The main reason we thank them not just cause my dad served, but I don't think most of our armed forces get the thanks they deserve for doing what they do, I understand most do it because they love our great nation as many of us do, but to have been where most have been and dealt with everything our forces see and do, just pure respect for them, and gratitude. Many lost friends and family members, hope the thank yous we give show that gratitude.
