This was more than likely talked about before. I am putting a 383 in my barracuda. I have the 10.5 clutch & disk from my small block. It only has 200 miles on it. I need a143 tooth 11 inch flywheel. I was told there is an aftermarket flywheel that is 11 inch & will work with my 10.5 clutch. Where can i find one ?

Why do you want to go to the bigger flywheel? The 130 tooth with the 10.5 pressure plate accepts the 10.95 disc...

Keep your 130 tooth flywheel... Small block & big block are the same as long as they are both neutral balance... Use the clutch you have & use the smaller bell housing which is probably gonna fit your Barracuda tunnel better...

The 67-69 Big Block 4spd A bodies used a 130 tooth flywheel and a 10.5 bell housing as did the 70-74 B & E bodies with big blocks or Hemi....

There are original and aftermarket bell housings available to do this..

The 11" bell that uses the 143 tooth flywheel is bulkier, made of cast iron so it's heavy... And really just isn't necessary...

You can't use a 360 external balance flywheel on a neutral balance 383. Unless you can rebalance the 360, I'm betting it's cost prohibitive.
If youre gonna use a heavy bellhousing, make it a scattershield, not a giant heavy cast iron thing.

OP already said he couldn't use the flywheel... And I think he's onna use a 10.5 bell...

yes i cant use it because it is balanced for a 360 So looks like im on the hunt. Thank you all

Use any neutral balance 130 tooth 10 1/2 - 6 bolt flywheel with a 70 or newer big block 10 1/2 bellhousing. That big 143 flywheel and bell is not needed they are usually found on 69 and earlier B-body cars

Great info. 2 questions are the bell housings in question aluminum ? & what part numbers should i be looking for ?

If I was putting a big block in a A-body I would get a quick time bell and Hydraulic system from Brewers. That is what Steve is doing for the valiant. No dealing with linkage and the rest of the hard to find parts. If its a factory Big block car keep it factory. Or if your installing a big block for admiration

But If your using a built engine with headers and you want safety with performance and ease of installation use this. factory aluminum bells don't like big horse power with sticky tires
