3.91/4.10's are the best all around gear love em'..so you can't go 100 mph on the highway(except in short burst)last time i checked the speed limit is 55..got a friend with a "smog" 318 running 3.91's, another with a 360 magnum running "grand ma" 3.55's guess who kicks whos butt EVERYTIME out of the hole

i run 4:10 rear gear with a 28" tire and 4500 stall converter. I do 60mph at 2950 rpm. to me 60 is cruising speeds. how fast are you cruising at 4500rmp? thats like 80-90 mph.

55 is the limit , and racing on the street light to light is illegal , gets the car impounded here

If you don't have the low first gear set that would be a way to run 3.23 - 2.94 and still launch.

Mine is turning 3000 at 80 with 3.91's since adding a 0.68 OD (TKO). It was the only way I could keep up with the kid's SRT4.
