I have a lifter noise and was wondering what to do.I changed the oil but it didn't go away,the car hasn't been on the road this year but I start it every week,any help would be helpful.

either the lifter is munched or it is gummed up inside. hopefully the later is your problem. people have had good luck with stuff like marvel mystery oil or you could run this stuff called clean power through it. just be carefull and dont use that stuff very long because it can really thin the oil out. if that doesnt do anything check for a bent pushrod and see if you have lost any preload on that lifter. if it has low or none that is a sign that the lifter is getting chewed up and its time for a teardown.
