How many is too many?
I was planning on using a small hitch pin and just hooking the spring through one of the many holes. I just happened to look down at the bench and was reminded of a model airplane bell crank. Yep it is a peg board hook. No rubbing on the spring and no clips or pins to lose.... I did have to break off the lower pin.
