The time has come to simplify my life.
In the next couple of weeks I will be putting together a complete inventory of parts I purchased and will be listing them on the For Sale forum. Many of you know some of the 30K in parts I've purchased for this build so if you want to get the drop on some call me (720) 280-3701. Please respect the rules of this forum and do not respond to this thread with any questions concerning parts and prices, that's what the For Sale forum is for.

My intentions are not to bow out totally I just don't have the time or $$$ to continue a major build. My goal is to purchase or trade for a drivable Mopar.

I sure miss Ole Blu.

Heck, I thought dumping facebook was simplifying my life.

Rather than selling, just park the dart in a garage and come back when you are ready..I did that with my 'bgt...almost 10 year..it is a lot easier than stating at the bottom again..and you may have major regrets.

We we got out of MX..we sold everything..including the specialized tools so we wouldn't be tempted to start again...doesn't sound like your situation..

Just a thought...especially if you are going to miss Ole Blu.

I do not know your situatiuon---- but if you have spent this much of your life on the collection-- please sit down & take a step back before unloading your items.
Good Luck with your choice ,Lawrence

Well I bought my 69 Dart 5 years ago and since by bankruptcy last year I just came to the decision that since I haven't worked on it in 2 years it's time to re-group. It's actually in my car hauler at a friend's house 2 miles from here and I haven't seen it in 2 years either.
My decision is because I need the $$$'s to fianace a career change. There will be time for more toys in the future.

Ole Blu was my 67 in my avatar.

So sorry to hear abut this..good luck on your career change..I know what that feel like.

ian.

Sorry to hear that Jim,

Any idea on the career change? And best of luck!

No worries mate. It's a good thing. As you know a couple of years ago I went to Tx for 7 weeks to do independent adjusting after Ike and since decided Cat loss adjusting is what I want to do. Since then I have been working toward that goal. This storm season I'm positioned to be deployed and need to be able to bankroll it. It's often 6 weeks before the checks start to roll so you can imagine the expenses I need to cover in the mean time. Car rentals, air fare, hotels, food and the rest but for 6K-8K a week it's worth it. I'll be shopping for another Mopar in the fall.

I hear you Jim, I would love a career change, something easier on the body and more $$$$, however I have no idea what to do and no $$$$$ to venture out again.

In a way I wish you luck with the storm season however it means hardship for others. Did you get an opportunity to go to Nashville with their storms?

No I didn't.
What I've learned through out all my training is compassion. 1st call ...introduction...how are you doing...do you have elec....do you need medications.....do you need ice....I need to come and do an inspection of your damage, can I bring you anything? As an adjuster we have alot of resources to help alot of people at our disposal.

I wish no disasters on anyone but these things do happen and if I can help getting people back to whole I'm happy.

I love writing checks on someone else's account.

and I never forget the smiles.
