Location of this clip

Back in 1993 I bought a 1969 Barracuda. Bought it mainly for the engine. After getting the car home and looking it over more thoroughly I noticed a clip attached to one of the grille sections. Don’t remember what side it was on, right or left. Not even sure of the position it was in. It was my third ‘69 Barracuda. I have also seen a lot of ‘69 Barracudas and have never seen any of them with this clip. Anyone have any idea where this is supposed to mount and where in the @$/& would you find one these days?

Interesting, wonder how it ended up attached to my grill? Thought it might actually be a clip for the grilles. I’ve tried to hook it it up but it just doesn’t quite fit.

Reminds me of when I took a bra underwire to the appliance parts store..."what is this? I put the washer back together and this was left over". they are still laughing I bet.
My 69 doesn't have anything like that either.

Seems kinda odd that it would be shaped like that for hanging fender tags.

Maybe the previous owner changed a radiator hose from the Napa store. When he took the hanger off to install the hose the hanger was misplaced and ended up in the grille. It's definitely plausible.

Most of the wires I’ve seen in hose are circular shaped. But maybe!

I agree usually coiled like a spring, but maybe prev owner reefed it out of a failed hose got mad and tossed it and landed in the grille lol.
I have a buddy that keeps an empty case of beer bottles in shop. That way when he gets pi$$Ed off he fires the empties against the wall. Quite the sight lol.

It is the Lazy Man's Extension for the Hood Release, 67,68 were a bit easier!

I am pretty sure I have bent something similar, it just has not hit me why yet! Not sure why but it seems to have a purpose!
Maybe just a drop light hanger, Hell it's eating me up! Next Month it will hit me in the face like a ton of bricks and then I will not
be able to find this post again!

Well, don’t let it keep you awake too many nights. I posted this thinking it might be a factory clip of some sort. Apparently it’s not. Go easy on the moonshine, a little might help with your memory but too much and you’ll forget everything.
