Longer Shocks

Does anyone know if longer shocks are still needed with SS springs if the car is lowered 2"?

From what I understand the SS springs require shocks 2" longer than stock. How did you lower it 2"??

Haven't done it yet but I plan to use 2" square tubing welded to the underside of the spring perches with a locating hole for the SS springs. I didn't want to simply place lowering blocks on it because I feared the rear would move when I popped the clutch out.
