Hello. I'm new here, but not new to Mopars. I'm looking for a '70 Duster. Looking for a nicely preserved one that I can use and enjoy. I prefer a 340 and A/C, but would consider all. Condition and options more important than drivetrain. Any leads appreciated. Thanks.

A price range might help your quest. There is a great 72 on here. J Brennan is his name I think. I know you asked for 70, 71 but, this one is really nice.

Thanks. I know this isn't a cheap car and am willing to pay market for the right one. I'd like to stick with '70 for now. They are just so clean and sweet. Thanks again.

The '70' and '71 are nearly identical. Unbadged is a challenge to see the differences upon first glance. I'm a big fan of the non-bezel tail lights myself...:)

@koak
Where abouts in NY are you?
Did you make it to Carlisle last weekend, chances are you could have found something more suitable.

Binghamton. I have not been to Chryslers for a few years, but have vended there since the 90's. Still maintain my spots so I did have eyes there. As for the 70 vs 71, the 71's typically have too many distractions going on with the striping, etc for me. I love the early '70's with the V Eight badging. I completely dislike wings.

I definitely see your point. And it's details like you just mentioned that I was a bit ignorant of until I owned one myself. Good luck on your search and be sure to post pics when you finally bring one home! I still have to get pics up myself as I've been a member over a year and have been silent until now LOL.

How much you got to spend??
Respectfully, that's not a question I wish to answer in a public forum. I am pretty aware of current pricing and believe I have the funds to secure what I am looking for if I found it. Again, I'm not looking for a fully restored car. I'm going thru that on another, which is why I am looking in a different direction. I know what I am looking for is a tall ask, but that is one of the reasons why I joined this forum. Thanks for the reply.

I was fortunate and able to buy my 2nd big block 4 speed Dart GTS from the Carlisle corral in 2017, paid 33k. Ask was 40k.
Like most guys,
put alot of time and $ into it, everything but the body, which was clean.
I'll never get the $ back on a selling price, but I invested in it for my young kid to take it over one day.
I would have saved alot if I didn't destroy my 1st Mopar, a 68 GTS at 18 years old.
Living, learning and paying for it now.

Around 45k cash talks it's a really nice car all numbers match

Thanks for the replies. Nice cars all I’m sure, but different strokes right? Not looking for a show car and as close to stock as possible.
