Im newer to this but still know a lot about cars. I am looking for a 8.25 or 8.75 rear end for my 1975 dodge dart sport. im pretty sure it has a 7.25 in it know becuase it was converted from a /6 to 318. i've read for better performance to go with 8.25 or 8.75 rear end. It has a tourqe flite a904 trans if that helps at all?
thanks dom

check the forsale part theres a few there and I know "MRL Performance" had one he in MI which is not to far away

i have a 8 .3/4 for $ 600, large bolt pattern, gears included i am about 3 hours away let me know,

I didn't think the 7-1/4" rear end was used on mopars beyond 1973 or 1974. I would check the rear end (# bolts on diff. cover, casting number, etc) to verify before you buy a new one.

Both my 73 Swinger and my 74 4 Door came with 7-1/4"
The 74 also came with a 318 from factory.

My 73 swinger did as well. But I read somewhere once that the 8-1/4" replaced the 7-1/4" sometime in the 1970's, so I figured it might be worth investigating. Sure wish I could find that link now...

I have a complete A body rearend minus brakes and drums..8 3/4..small bolt pattern, 323 suregrip. Buffalo NY area...700.00

If you want to travel 3 hours, (or I could meet you at the Pa. line), complete 8 1/4 open, highway gears complete with springs and brakes 300.00. Have suregrip for it with 4:11 for an extra 300.00 or will trade for a 8 3/4 center section suregrip 3:91. PM if interested, thanks Walt
