What's up with all the zmax boards on the roofs of the cars? That Dart would be fun to model. And here is the one I used to campaign in real life.View attachment 1715393639
In that particular race, we had entered a race with the Frank Kimmel street stocks, and that zmax board on the roof was a aerodynamic thing ment to keep speeds in a safe zone, running cup tracks, is no joke! What's up with all the zmax boards on the roofs of the cars? You are a damn good resource for modeling this stuff! You've opened Pandora's box, guy..In that particular race, we had entered a race with the Frank Kimmel street stocks, and that zmax board on the roof was a aerodynamic thing ment to keep speeds in a safe zone, running cup tracks, is no joke!
Looks like a plain old Dart, not a kit car. Do you have any more pics of that? And here is the one I used to campaign in real life.View attachment 1715393639
A lot! To run that particular race, we couldn't run out regular "built" motor, we were required to run a crate motor. We borrowed a 300 hp 360 magnum, and we were probably down 200 hp to the chevys.Beautiful car! How much did the Kimmel billboard slow down your Dart?
That's an interesting thing! It is a dart, it is definitely not a "kit car" it was built in my shop, to be a street stock. It is a full "A" body chassis, the kit cars were shortened "B" bodys with A body sheet metal, then later F body metal
