Buy a book, order the parts and do it yourself. These are really simple trans.
My trans guy gets $400 plus parts and it takes about 4 hours unless you spend some time making it look pretty! Just take your time and make everything clean

yeah i would say just do it yourself..i did the one in my car..first transmission i had ever done..bought a book bought the parts i wanted and went to town..been holding up just fine for the last 3 years
