I'm looking for a heavy duty street 727 to pair up with my 512 stroker motor. have not had the motor running so not unsure of power, but will be running on pump gas. I'm looking for something thats ready to install. I've found a couple options but really have no clue on reputations or what to avoid.

heres my first thought... automatic performance

not familiar with this brand, so would love as much input as possible. of course tci is another "out of the box" trans but with all the horror stories on here i don't even want to think about that! thanks

From the experiences of those on this site, I did not go with the TCI.
Get a local tranny shop in your area to rebuild a core for you.
It wont cost any more than the TCI and if it doesnt work right you can take it back to them and they will fix it.

Might give John at CRT trans a p.m. here. He specialize's in Mopar. Just a thought.

Local is your best option. Think what a pita it is to pull that trans and ship it for repairs...no thanks! Those 727 are not light.

Just making sure you know neither of those has any "automatic" functions & you'll need a reverse pattern shifter if going aftermarket.
