Every time I pass through a city I wonder if there are any hidden gems tucked away, waiting to be saved. recently I was working in Fort Bragg CA. After work one day I decided to cruise the streets in search of a derelict Duster or a Charger that someone gave up on. I thought it would be more fun than watching TV in the hotel room.
Forget Ft Bragg. There is nothing there worth restoring.
I figured that since this is a coastal town, a person would have to PAY to have a car towed away making it more likely that they'd just let a car sit and rot.
If I wanted to "restore" a mid 80s Chevy truck, I'd have my choice of many. Vws, old Toyotas, a few Volvos.....
Like I wrote, Nothing worth restoring. I'm still hoping to find something in a small town someday. It would make a nice story.
