X2 on your prayers Popdart, Irene is moving 15 mph :banghead:
Tornadoes and very heavy rain and 90 mph winds, I hope the cool dry air will weaken her and change course and take a eastward turn!!!
I hope the folks that have electricity and cell/cable service chimes in and keeps us updated as she makes her way up shore to New jersey!!
Looks like Irene isn't as bad as feared but she's still a major trouble-maker. The unusually dry air we've had in Georgia hasn't given her any moisture to feed on from the west, you can see that effect when you look at her footprint on the radar.
At 5:30 AM in Cow Hampshire the sun came up and lit the underside of the clouds a creepy shade of red. The temp is about 80 degrees, oppressive humidity and the air is deadly calm. My dog is acting up, I swear she can feel it coming.
