Hi guys,

I'm planning to lower my 71 Demon. I've searched on the forum and there are some methods but not really know whether it is the best route to take.

Can anyone help me out by letting me know what the best method to lower the car a few inches - and not extremely low? The car will use 15 inch wheels all around and Of course I'd like not to sacrifice the comfort.

Maybe I can have some info please...

Thanks
Josh

If you are only looking for a couple of inches. Try adjusting
the torsion bars down. You could try flipping the front spring
mount on the rear. That would give you 2 in. there. I did that
on mine when I put the S/S springs on the back to get in back to
the stock height. With stock springs it should drop it. The
spring mounts have different spacing on the studs. I took out
the studs and elongated the holes. Use harden bolts and you
shouldn't have any problems.

If you lower the front using the t-bars, consider triming the lower bump stops to maintain some suspension travel. On my circle track a-body car I removed the lower bump stops to gain more travel with the lowered front suspension. For a street driven car this may cause some safety issues.

You could also use a set of lowering blocks in the rear. Would cost a bit more than flipping the hangers but would be less work.
