lunati voodoo cams

-
I've got the 60403 in my 340 Dart and love it.
It really starts pulling at 2500 and is strong all the way to my self-imposed 6250 red line.

I have the smaller 60302 i think, 220 @.050 in my near stock 383 RR, pulls very very very hard between 2K and 5k

I have the voodoo 60104 cam in my 283 sbc, It pulls hard from 4k up.

Nice cams.

I had the 60401 (smallest one now, was 2nd smallest when I bought it) in my otherwise stock 318 with 4-bbl and duals... Sounded nice, pulled hard once it got up to 2200 RPM or so. Although with higher compression and headers I think it would have a lot more down low, my engine was really really tired and I had stock 2.76 gears. I'm actually going to reuse this cam in a 10.5:1 360 I'm building, I know then it'll be a torque monster.

--I've run the 60403,60404,60405 with great results...

--I run the 60404 in my 360 and love it. Very street friendly and runs strong.

for you guys running the 60404 how wat the motor and drive train set up ??
stall speed, tight/loose
rear end
engine comp.

thanks.

i found this from a vendor....

voodoo60404
"Hot Street" cam, likes 2800 converter, Hi–Rise type dual plane intake with 750cfm carb, headers, 10:1 compression and 3.73 gears. Likes up to 200HP nitrous.

Air gap intake with 770 Holley. 3000 stall/tight, Had 4:10 gears and it ran high 12's, now I have 3.55 gears (I do quite a bit of highway driving and the 4:10s were killers). Runs 13.50 now with the 3:55's, compression is 9.8 to 1.

The 360 i'm running that cam in is 30 over 10.7 comp. Edelbrock heads(of coarse) air gap,850 carb,3800 stall 4.30 gears..Been in the 11.70's with it street car 3404 race weight:-D:-D

Running the 60401 in a .040 over 360 with 10.2:1 CR at high altitude in a very heavy full time 4WD truck. It's a torque monster, idles with just a hint of a lope (think motorboat, lol), pulls right off idle but really comes on at about 2200 rpm to 5500 rpm. Great daily driver cam and have had zero break-in issues and I have about 3K miles on it.

I'm very impressed with Lunati products and I certainly would recommend them to anyone.

I've got the 60404 in the 360 in my Duster. Very strong, kinda lumpy sounding. Around 11:1, 3800 stall converter, 3.91 gears. It ran low 12s with a single plane and 750 HP carb.

DOnt know the part numbers, but I have the 268/276 in my 390. It's in a 1 ton truck, with the stock low low stall converter. Works nice. Probably wouldn't take off without a push if it was a 318 tho.......

The little voodoo gets real good MPG in low gear 318 power vehicles too, just slipped one in a 273 in 3.55 gear 2x ramcharger.... Should work good I hope, little 2bbl and all.

60403 here!

It is a torque monster! With stock 3:21's too. I can roach the tires at will.

well, after much debate, i just ordered a Voodoo 60405

.533''/.552'' Duration: 284°/292°
RPM Range: 2500-6600.

Check "Retainer too Guide" Clearance with that much lift.

"Valve to piston" might not be such a bad idea to check as well.

well crap, due to Lunati being 30 days out, i cancelled that and went with mech. solid tap, im hoping this one will perform...

Crower pro street performance solid lift .521/.528
Adv. Duration 294/298

i had it ordered through summit, then a builder told me i needed about 290ish dur. for this set up on a solid cam to be most effective in combination with the head flow rate, intake and carb... guess we will see how it goes. good thing cams are cheap relatively speaking....
