I found this at a local wally- mart and the odd thing is that the door did not receive a stripe like the rest of the car. It has not been opened so that is how it came. There were others on the shelf with the complete stripe.

Is this something unusual??

Has anyone ever seen this happen before.

I'm guessing someone replaced that door at some point
You should run a carfax on it

Did you see the version with the vinyl top?

Yes factory oddballs. Some people collect stuff like that. I have seen mispackaged hotwheels, or hotwheels with mismatched wheels. I even have one from 1999 that made it all the way through packaged and to the store with no paint on the body. Just a raw casting. I'm sure its worth something to the right collector, since it may be a one of a kind. My recommendation would be to not open it up. Get another with the stripe to play with.
