Magnum Heads

Can anyone give me a concrete answer on how much lift you can get out of a set of stock magnum heads. I've read and heard anything from .500 to .530". Would be nice to know, I'm not sure if the Edelbrocks are going to be in my budget or not. Thanks

I running .509/.512 lift with my magnum heads and there is clearance between the top of the seal and the bottom of the retainer. The 380 HP crate motor came with a .509/.509 cam and stock heads. I would say the .525 number I have always heard is a realistic number but it's certainly worth checking and easy to fix if you need more by cutting down the guides.
