Main Bearing Clearance

Haha engine specs from my machine shop show .0005-.0026 for a regular rebuild. For future reference if anyone finds this 5 more years down the road.:BangHead:

DANA
The oil pressure is fine, maybe 20 psl at idle after a run, which is ok. It is 70 psi in the lights at 7500 to 7800 rpm with a 4.15 stroke. Big clearances and hot motors require 20w50 oil. I leave the line at 185 degrees water temp, oil temp is 200. I run methanol, and that is what the motor likes, as well as keeping the oil clear; no water or alky making it milky.

Those sound like specs found in a stock build motor manual. If you aren't racing it it'll live but for a performance build you want more oil clearance. I like to see at least .002" minimum
