Do you have any idea what the resistance you need ?
So, i have a few different mallory distributors i want to try out. The first being the comp9000 and the second is a billet mechanical, i have a mallory ignition box but want to try without. Ive read that you need to run a ballast with these and the only thing i came up with was that one in particular.

It is just a resister, so if you find out the resistance you can just buy what you need. Mallory should be able to tell you, call them tomorrow.

I know it's out of stock, but .75 to 1.5 ohm will be very easy to find. Probably can use a standard Mopar resistor.

Well there you go .75-1.50 ohms you might have one on the shelf,

I think if your using a Mallory electronic dist and the Mallory 6A box you don't have to use the resistor, it's optional. You only need it if your not using an amplifier box or running a points type dist. I've ran 2 Mallory distributors (a unilite and a comp 9000) with a 6A box for extended time without a resistor and no problems
