i went to replace master cyl today but one on car has metal hold down strap while new one just had screw thru middle i have drum and no power assist and i have been having a few problems w brake fluid leaving front res and overfilling with pressure rear res could this be a master cyl for use with booster issue or has someone just put different cap on unit any ideas

Is the replacement a dual reservoir? I'm no brake expert, but the only ones I've seen with the screw cap are the older single reservoir type.

it is a dual res with strap across with screw in middle the one the parts store was selling me was no strap but with center screw still is there a difference in master cylinder i dont know
