I have a '64 dart with 3 on tree and slant six. Great car, but I'm 80 and find shifting hard to live with.

I have access to a slant six '64 Valiant parts car with auto and buttons. Thinking about a swap.

Has anyone attempted this ?

Do you know if drive shaft length, or rearend ratio is an issue.

My car drives well as is and trying to avoid possible rabbit holes.

Thank you, Steve

My 64 Dart V8 swap has a 904 pushbutton.
If the cables on the parts car are damaged they're hard to find and expensive to my limited knowledge.

I apologize. You are correct.

All the info. is right there. I remember now.
I will just have to blame it on old age memory lapse. Not just an excuse, sadly it's the truth.

I also remember that I decided to just stay with what I have.

Thank you for the reminder.

Do yourself a favor and install a newer trans. Eliminate the Ball & trunnion drive shaft and use after market shifter on the floor. You won't have to mess with the dash or cables. If you have factory buckets a 66 to 76 console and shifter could be used.

Future repairs will be easier to access parts for if something is needed.
