I'm looking for advise on converting my manual steering to power steering on my 64' Valiant w/a Slant 6. Have any of you guys made such a conversion? I'm new to this forum, and I woul dappreciate any advise from someone who may have done this before... My engine is out for paint and body work, so now's the best time for me to do this. The wife wants to drive the car, and she requested this change, I'd like to oblige her.
I'd like to know hwat parts were used, and any mods that might be needed. Thanks very much in advance for your help!

Welcome to FABO! Get a center shaft (or whole column) from a '63-6 A-body with P/S. Unless you need the factory stock look, I'd get a '67-72 A,B,E body box and a Saginaw pump with brackets if you can find one. The Federal/TRW/Thompson versions work too but I like the Saginaw pumps better. Less leak problems. You'll need new hoses, belt, and a bolt-on crank pulley also. I might be able to help with some parts if you can't find something up your way.
