I'm going to put a 727 with a manual valve body with a B+M ratchet shifter. Do I have to do anything with the kick down linkage or do I just leave it off I've read that the kick down circuit is important to the 727 trans. So what do I need to do? Jim

depends on the manual valve body.... the ones made by a Trans go kit will need the lever tied back at full pressure...

if the manual vavle body is from a trans company like Turbo action...CRT or who ever...then there will be no need for the KD linkage....

The kickdown linkage. But Tony's right. The lever on the transmission may need to be tied back depending on the V/B, but you won't need the linkage anymore.

Good Will have to check trans Thanks guy's Jim

Yep just like these guys said. I have a Cheetah turbo action manual body in mine and all the kickdown linkage is removed. Just one single shifter cable to the B&M ratchet.
