manual valve body and column shift

hey guys... thinking about going to a reverse manual valve body, but i wasn't sure if I can use it with the stock column shifter?. I don't have the funds for a aftermarket shifter right now but I'd like to get rid of the kickdown linkage. This car is mainly for drag racing although right now gotta drive it to the track and back. thanks.

Had one in my scamp with the column shift. Takes some getting use to.
