manual valve body

In the chassis book they say you can make your own manual valve body any one ever done this ???? I mean it don't really sound all that difficult a couple 1/4" rods an drill a hole out here verses 250$ .just curious

I have never done it, but I read the section years ago. Haven't re read it, BUT... if you do the work like they say, it should do fine. Beyond that, find a spare valvebody and give it a shot.

I haven't done it either but I read about it in the chassis manual and I could be wrong but I thought all it mentioned in the chassis manual was supplemental to the actual conversion kit they used to sell that's no longer available. Included in the kit was a different valve body transfer plate. What edition chassis manual do you have? Mine is the 9th edition.
