My 64 Valiant Signet Vert is WW1 (white Ditzler code 8358 ) and interior is red (Ditzler code 71203).

I'm trying to replicate the original colors for paint. Right now I am working on the interior red and was wondering about how to deal with matching?

I understand that I need to go with a 2 stage paint (base and clear) as paint systems are now different? I really want this to be as close to original as possilbe.

Also, any suggestions on geting the shades right from those codes? I also have a Ditzler color chart from 64 so I know approximately what they should look like. Color chart calls for interior gloss finish. Does this need to be a 2 stage? I ask this as I have vert top side panels (fiberglass)as well as dash components (metal) that need to be painted to match.

Thanks.

I was able to buy the matching interior paints for my 64 dart from Year One.
We had to paint the fiberglass panels and the Year One original paint colors matched up perfectly. They don't list A Bodys prior to 1966, but the paint codes are identical. Dave
